This is a line from the new music video starring Battlestar Galactica actress Tricia Helfer.  In it, she plays a female assassin with a trouble past in this movie trailer parody from the great blues-rock duo The Black Keys. The song, Howlin For You is a great rocker that is given extra comedic punch with the Grindhouse inspired visuals in the video.  Watch this entertaining music video after the break!

The Black Keys most recent album, Brothers just took home a plethora of awards at the recent Grammy Awards.  Part Desperado, part Kill Bill, this music video is a must watch for “Grindhouse” film geeks.

The video actually ends around the 3:00 min. mark, but for some reason continues on a black screen for another 1:30 seconds. Enjoy … and if you haven’t checked out either The Proposition or The Road … do it now!

This year at Fantastic Fest was a blast!  I’m still catching up on the reviews, of the 23 or more films I saw there so stay tuned for a steady stream of those reviews.  One thing I definitely wanted to get out today – in celebration of its VOD release today – was a video interview I got with director Adam Green, actress Danielle Harris and the man behind the mask Kane Hodder for Hatchet II.  Beyond the break is the 20(!) minute interview.

These guys obviously had a blast with the making of the film as it shows in the interview how well they all got along.

*Side note: Danielle broke out her Flip to record the interview and set it next to mine.  No clue on where that video is.

This needs to be spread out as much as possible. It reminds me a lot of PIXAR’s work. Not just because of the CG Cartoonish animation, but more of the cinematics used. The mood established in this short 90 second teaser does more than a lot of zombie films released.

Gang, I’m gonna try. I remember overhearing a co-worker’s friend at an old job of mine mention that he does this every Friday the 13th. He would invite friends over to his place and watch all, then 8, films in a row and who ever was last would get a prize. While my prize will just be saying “I FUCKIN’ DID IT”, I am doing this!

So, While everyone one else is seeing the remake, I will be sitting down with the original to kickstart 18 hours of madness. Plus, I am going to be on USTREAM.TV streaming my marathon live. Now, I can’t show the films due to legal reasons, but you can watch me watch them or watch with me as I will perform commentary, maybe take calls (depending if my new equipment comes in) and definitely chatting in the chat room. Please join me. See if you can push yourself all the way through. If you can, I’ll see if I can whip up a prize for you or something (No Promises).

I will put the video feed on the top of the website Friday. I hope I can make it.
